Little Red House is a warm, welcoming child care and early childhood education program serving families in Yorktown Heights and the surrounding Northern Westchester community. For more than 17 years, we have provided a nurturing, engaging environment where children can learn, play, build friendships and develop confidence. Our programs include toddler care, preschool, part-day Pre-K, and before- and after-school care. We offer flexible options designed to support the needs of busy families while giving each child a consistent and caring place to grow. At Little Red House, we believe children learn best through meaningful play, exploration and hands-on experiences. Our classrooms are designed to encourage curiosity and creativity through process art, dramatic play, music and movement, early literacy, age-appropriate learning activities, outdoor play and opportunities for social-emotional growth. Teachers guide children with warmth and encouragement while helping them build independence, communication skills and a positive attitude toward learning. Our mixed-age, inclusive approach allows children to learn from one another while receiving support based on their individual developmental needs. We value strong relationships with families and work to create a true sense of community within our program. For school-age children, our before- and after-school programs provide a comfortable balance of homework support, active play, creative activities, social time and opportunities to relax after the school day.
